Inventory Analyst

The Inventory Analyst works under the supervision of a Client Manager, who is responsible for managing one or more client accounts. The Inventory Analyst:

  • Performs core analysis on the weekly deliverables to clients, business impact tracking and quality assurance analyses.
  • Participates in weekly retail client conference calls that review business issues/exceptions impacting weekly deliverables.
  • Performs ad hoc analyses in support of questions that arise in day-to-day business.
  • Supports and participates in periodic reviews of service delivery with clients.

Requirements of the Position:

Required:

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with retail clients to identify and resolve opportunities and issues.
  • Desire to work directly with clients.
  • Team-oriented attitude, must be able to work well with members of other groups to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently and complete work quickly with consistently high quality.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a retail business environment: supply chain, planning, merchandising, buying, business analysis or consulting.
  • Practical experience using relational database and data warehouse technology.
  • Experience interfacing with IT professionals to coordinate and resolve technical issues.

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with business, mathematics or finance related focus or comparable experience in a retail or consulting organization.

Travel

  • 5% to 10% of time spent onsite with domestic customers.
