Associate Client Manager

The Associate Client Manager will manage client relationships and will drive the weekly deliverable and implementation of projects and initiatives post contract. This position involves project management, business management, analysis and is specifically responsible for the delivery of the 4R weekly solutions. The Associate Client Manager:

  • Works with retail clients to foster a strong client relationship, builds trust and maintains credibility through insightful discussion and a demonstrated understanding of the client’s business needs.
  • Manages weekly retail client conference calls reviewing business issues/exceptions impacting weekly deliverables.
  • Is responsible for analyzing and interpreting weekly deliverables to clients, business impact tracking and quality assurance analyses.
  • Identifies initiatives that arise in delivering on-going service to clients, designs and implements approaches to address these issues for the client. Provides tracking of strategic client issues and progressing them through internal groups.
  • Leads a team of Inventory Analysts to provide insight, meaningful reports and solutions to clients.
  • Supports and participates in periodic reviews of service delivery with clients.
  • Manages multiple clients and prioritizes tasks among those clients.
  • Works with technical support and operations groups to ensure timely resolution of tactical issues.
  • Initiates, participates and leads departmental and intradepartmental teams and initiatives to improve processes.
  • Owns the client delivery process, evolving it as necessary to meet the needs of an agile, high throughput organization.
  • Manages planning and requirements – gathers processes with stakeholders to streamline product delivery. Establishes development priorities and identifies roadblocks.
  • Collaborates with the product organization on requested product definition changes based on evolving client needs
  • Collaborates with QA resources to develop and manage QA testing plans for all deliveries.
  • Communicates periodic updates on delivery status, issues, & mitigations.
  • Is the accountable party for quality, on-time delivery, and client satisfaction of 4R product delivery.
  • Provides hands-on project management.

Requirements of the Position:

Required:

  • Experience in a retail business environment: supply chain, planning, merchandising, buying, business analysis or consulting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with retail clients to identify and resolve opportunities and issues.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage and support the retail client relationship.
  • Team-oriented attitude, must be able to work well with members of other groups to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to complete work quickly with consistently high quality.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated contribution to the business through effective customer relationship management.
  • Experience developing and executing merchandise business strategies and retail category management.
  • Practical experience using relational database and data warehouse technology as well as Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Experience interfacing with IT professionals to coordinate and resolve technical issues.
  • Project management experience a plus

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with business, mathematics or finance related focus or 5 years working in retail or comparable experience in consulting organization.

Travel

5% to 10% of time spent onsite with domestic customers.
